Aesthetic Dentistry

Smile aesthetics

It is the design of the most beautiful smile for the individual, taking into account the person's facial features. This design can be achieved not only by teeth whitening, but also by providing gum aesthetics with aesthetic restorations to the front teeth, support and botox applications to the cheeks and lips in case of loss of back teeth. Face shape, skin color and lip structure are taken into consideration and studies are carried out in clinical and laboratory environments.

Gum aesthetics

It is very important in smile design. In an aesthetic smile, gums should be visible to a certain extent. The first action to be taken is; If the gums are unhealthy, they should be treated. After these problems are eliminated, personalized forms should be prepared in the shape and length required for smile aesthetics. Gum shaping can be applied together with aesthetic restorations in cases where crown lengths need to be lengthened.

Whitening

It is the process of removing discolorations that occur in the structure of the teeth and cause aesthetic problems. Before whitening, gum treatment and a full oral and dental examination are required.

Whitening should not be done in some special cases (pregnant women, lactating women, breastfeeding women), those under the age of 18, those with decay on the tooth surface, those with tooth sensitivity, or those with structural defects in the tooth.

  • Single tooth whitening
  • Combined whitening
  • home whitening
  • Office whitening
  • biological whitening

Its applications are performed in our clinic.

Botox

Although botox, which is mostly associated with the field of aesthetics and beauty, is a commercial brand name, it has entered the patient literature as the name of the procedure. Botox, which is used in many different treatments in medicine, is also used in joint treatments in our clinic. In people who have jaw joint problems or problems related to teeth clenching, it relaxes the relevant muscles, relieves neck, back, ear, head and face pain, reduces the grinding habit, and even corrects the jaw deformation (the patient's angular face form) over time. Therefore, botox applications

  • clenching teeth
  • docking
  • As grinding habits will be alleviated, migraine attacks will decrease, the patient will be able to enter deep sleep (REM), it will ensure that restorations (fillings and dentures) last longer without breaking, and it prevents the formation of micro tooth surface cracks and gum recession.

Bonding

The word means to stick a material to the tooth. The "bonding" method is used for minimal crowding, gapped teeth, tooth fractures resulting from impact, falling, and material loss in the tooth. Its biggest advantage is; It can be applied without cutting teeth.

In very advanced problems, laminate and other aesthetic methods are preferred.

Lamination

First of all, they are leaf-thick porcelains that are applied with minimal cutting on the tooth surface for deformities, aesthetic problems, and crookedness that cannot be corrected with orthodontic treatments.

Nowadays, with the increase in aesthetic expectations and the advancement of bonding technologies in dentistry, these restorations have become very common. The short construction process and the fact that it is applied only to the front surface of the teeth have been preferred by patients.

Feldspar

Since it is worked with no cutting or minimal retouching, it is highly preferred by both patients and physicians. Feldspar material has high light transmittance, so aesthetics are important; It is especially preferred in anterior region prostheses. In terms of content, the majority of dental porcelain systems today contain feldspar.

Zirconium

With the development of technology, metal-based prostheses were replaced by zirconium, which is a more aesthetic material. The use of zirconium has increased because metals cause allergic reactions, discoloration of the gums and aesthetic problems. The development of computer-aided systems has increased the popularity of zirconiums due to their compatibility with oral tissues and their ability to eliminate aesthetic concerns.

Monolithic zirconium

With the advancement of technology, monolithic zirconiums are preferred because they are more resistant to forces, especially in the posterior regions, their aesthetic appearance and can be placed in the mouth in a short time (with CAD / CAM applications).
